I live in Toms River and have recently received many
phone calls from a company called "Atlantic Water
Products". They want to come to my home and test my
water for free. They tried to make themselves sound
like a city or county agency initially and didn't even
give the name of their company. They were supposedly
"testing" entire neighborhoods at a time, until the whole
was tested. I became suspiscious when they told me that
beth myself and my husband HAD to be home when the
testing was done and I would receive results that day.
Then they wanted directions to my home from Cape May.
I figure this is just a ploy to sell a water filtration
system. Doesn't it take several weeks to get results of
water tests? How could they afford to do accurate tests
for free if they are not compensated or contracted by
anyone? I think they are just trying to exploit the fears
of people in this area for their own profit.
Their phone # is 1-800-228-3781. The woman I spoke to is
Dee. Has anyone else been approached by these people?
Thanks
