The suspects were turned over to the local police and convicted by Japanese law. Although the suspects were as a result turned over to the local police and tried, there have been two cases in the past where the suspects would leave for their home country during an investigation. We still believe the revision of SOFA is mandatory, and will continue this movement to do so.
